Hi Laurie. As promised, I’ve attached some photos of the planters.
We are an advertising agency with our offices in a renovated 70+ year old sausage factory in downtown Sacramento. We recently remodeled our 2nd floor deck, using fabricated used brick for the flooring and wanted to add some green. We seem to always need meeting space and have pretty much used up all extra space inside our office so we decided to create it outside also. It is also used extensively by our employees for lunch breaks and downtime and for our summer BBQ season.
It was important to give the space a sense of privacy while allowing visitors direct access to our front door – there are actually 3 doors on the deck and it created some confusion when new visitors arrived at the space. We used the troughs to create a path to the front door and planted horsetail reed to give a sense of privacy from guests coming to the building.
At the same time as the deck remodel, the owners of the building updated the parking lot and removed 10 fully-mature trees due to disease and growth. We lost all of our “green” and our shade. The cubes were purchased to plant trees in an effort to create some shade and get the green back. They are lined up at the front railing and we planted lime, lemon and orange trees. Hopefully we will get some fruit next season.
We have received many compliments on the deck and everyone wants to know where I purchased the planters. I even took one of the troughs directly to the nursery when I was trying out different planting materials and gave your website name out to 3 or 4 people who were shopping there that day. They loved it!

Received a shipping notice for my order, with an estimated arrival date of 07 DEC 09. THANK YOU for getting this order expedited.
