Made of recycled food barrels, the 55 Gallon Rainwater Poly-Barrel is an innovative reuse of a product that up until a relatively short time ago was discarded after the primary use. The barrel shape has a smooth interior that resists algae build up while the top screen discourages debris and insects from entering the barrel. A solid brass threaded spigot allows dispensing to nearby flowers or you can hook up a hose to reach nearby landscaping.
About The Materials
Each rain barrel is made of thick food grade polyethylene.. Food Grade polyethylene is an extremely durable plastic that is ideal for outdoor products because of its resistance to fading and longevity. Typically, polyethylene does not break down in landfills for approximately 200 years so use of this material provides you with extreme durability and strength when used as a rain barrel.
